THE SUN

The Sun is the star at the center of the Solar System. It is almost perfectly spherical and consists of hot plasma and magnetic fields, it has got poles.
Its diameter is 109 times bigger than the diameter of the Earth.
Three quarters of the Sun's mass consists of hydrogen, while the rest is mostly helium and other elements.
The Sun formed about 4.6 billion years ago. The central mass became increasingly hot and dense, which iniciated a fusion in its core.
It is designated as a yellow dwarf  as it appears yellow from the Earth..It's a spectral star.
The distance of the Sun from the Earth is around 150,000,000 km.
